"What I is giving you now may look like a jambogly old lantern. It doesn't look anything of importance. But it is a very precious present. I am giving you your dreams, my dear," said the Big T.F-G. Favorite track: One girl among many.

you're quite the party girl in your sequinned dress in thrall to songs of love, redemption and success yes, you stand for all those things that a life of grace and fortune brings but now's the right time baby to cross the border darlin' and step on to the edge of the free world, and dance dance for those who live flung far from home dance for those caught up in conflict not their own dance for those condemned for crimes when they were innocent yes now's the right time baby to shake your shoes off darlin' and step on to the edge of your good-time world, and dance dance for those in fear of censor's boot and gulag bone dance for those oppressed whose love defies XY XX dance for those worn down by soft greased palm and hard uniformed hand dance for the suffragette kept mum kept dumb kept poor kept young dance for those pushed out when faith or face scratch cultural sore yes, dance for all of these 'till you can't dance no more

I've had enough of this old game of busking for the hound-dogs on lonely street a song with no refrain for an audience of meat the paying punter walks on by the leaves keep on a-falling, and the geese still fly and some clown with dancing bears has pulled a crowd, oh my..... well, if I'm worth anything or I'm worth jack these journos inside my mind are fine, but kind of puckish how did I luck out, with such august competition? when I just do my own thing......I play and sing to all my fans who love me, and god above me...please take my blind ambition down to the river and I could leave this restless earth as a free man like a song that I once sang, that had no refrain they're all the same.... take me to a land where art counts for nothing and I could take some baby steps as a free man

I don't know how the bird can sing without a manual or how the fish that cleave the sea have learned to swim and I don't know why the air is sweet when my girl passes by and our eyes meet but the Beagle's in the rough stuff, a bust flush from A to Z Darwinistas speak and spell but that don't ring my bell they talk a rational kind of dumb but that don't thrill me none shale tales don't shake no candy tree when her love's Iike alchemy and all I'm living for is the magic of her smile, her skin like fire, and all the mysteries of her kiss yes, it comes down to this in a world that proves and reasons she moves me like it can't explain I don't know how some blobs of paint can set me smiling or how a random bunch of notes can make me cry well, see....I don't get how love's so profound that when my girl's lying here just whispering in my ear - that sound - it's like a blue day, with clouds white, the whirr of crickets, and larks... Darwinistas' comfort crumb but I won't give them none Mother Nature, get you this... The urge is not the bliss shale tales don't stake no candy tree when her love's Iike alchemy and all I'm living for is the magic of her smile, her skin like fire, and all the mysteries of her kiss yes, it comes down to this in a world that proves and reasons she moves me like it can't explain

when the diamond mines outshine the glittering sea when the gold is struck and stacked up by the dock tell me why, tell me why are your ships all filled with clay? and such is my dismay I'd sink the lot when the quay's festooned with flags of every hue when the shrimp-girl sings with flowers tied in her frock tell me why, tell me why are your ships all washed-out grey? and such is my dismay I'd sink the lot yes, such is my dismay ..... the facts are these the facts are those the question to pose, I s'pose is how you got this job at all and why they set the bar so low when the ocean's beckoning on to distant shores when the sea-crows to some far horizon flock tell me why, tell me why do your ships row oh so slow round and round the bay? and such is my dismay I'd sink the lot yes, such is my dismay

about

“this EP represents all I managed to complete of an album of mainly Latin-inflected Hammond organ songs, before being laid low with hearing problems. The digital mixes are different to those on the vinyl - I wanted to optimise for IEM, and I think they're a bit grittier as well".
